Terms and conditions

The procedure

Hair transplantation is a minimally invasive medical procedure. Permanent hairs from parts of the scalp that normally never go bald are transplanted to areas of permanent hair loss.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, allowing patients to be fully informed and communicatie with the team. Upon request and if medically appropriate, benzodiazepines can be used to reduce anxiety. Please be advised that the sedative effects of benzodiazepines may impair your ability to drive. Therefore, we recommend that you arrange for another individual to drive you home. Please be aware that if you do not use this, you may drive yourself after the treatment.
The procedure itself can take between 5 and 9 hours, depending on the size of the treatment.

Alternative treatments

During the consultation, depending on the nature of the hair loss, it was discussed that a hair transplant is the only solution. Other alternatives include lifetime medication, wearing a wig to disguise the hair loss, and not undergoing surgical hair transplantation.

An explanation of hair transplant surgery, the possible benefits and risks, limitations and alternatives were discussed and given.

Risks associated with hair transplantation

Patient understands that the risks, which were also verbally explained by the Practitioner during the consultation and about which Patient was able to ask questions, may be associated with a hair transplant.

Guarantee

Subjectivity – Patients are aware that this procedure is performed for cosmetic reasons in areas of hair loss to improve self-esteem and self-confidence and therefore the results can only be judged subjectively. It is therefore important to understand that although you will be informed of the likely results, this should in no way be interpreted as a guarantee of satisfaction.

Objectivity – High-resolution photographs will be taken of the harvesting and receiving areas before, during and after the event. Subsequently, we will offer telephone checks to evaluate the progress with you. Based on the interim telephone evaluation, depending on the progress, the final check-up with you will be scheduled 8-12 months after the treatment. Here, photos will again be taken for verification and we will check with you whether the grafts placed in the meantime all produce one or more hairs. If this is not the case, a free correction will be offered in the amount of the number lost – to be estimated to the best of our ability by the practitioner based on the available data – plus 20%. Should this not be successful, the costs paid will be refunded in proportion to the number of grafts lost.

These costs amount to €500. The agreement may be suspended by the Practitioner in the event of a patient default on payment or down payment.
