Extremely rare, but incredibly annoying, are autoimmune processes that lead to scarring and loss of hair. The so-called fibrosing processes (e.g. Lichen Planopilaris or Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia (FFA)). These can have an immense impact on the quality of life. They are very difficult to treat, but we are happy to enter the conversation if you are struggling with them.
